Stitches used: sc, mc
Finished size: 3cm/1.25in
Colors used: yellow, green, brown, salmon (very small amount for beak only, any red will be ok too).

I have used eyes for crafting with glue at the back.

Abbreviations:
mc - magic circle
sc - single crochet
ss - slip stitch
hdc - half double crochet

Pattern:
Start with yellow. In mc sc 6, end with ss.

Join green and ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in each of the next st, end with ss in ch 1 (12 st).

Continue with brown - ch 3 and ss in the next st, ss in the next 2 st, ch 3, ss in the next st. Ears are done. Cut the yarn.

Skip one st from the last worked stitch and join yellow, work one ss, then sc in next st, one hdc in next st. One wing is made. Now make the second one the same way on the opposite side.

With small amount of yellow and tapestry needle make the legs.
Then put the eyes (or sew them if you use buttons) and sew beak below with tapestry needle.

The picture below shows how to make the beak with the needle.
