This very simple flower was made to fit one amazing spring hat. It could be used as a nice finish touch to many crochet project - hats, garments, scarves, headbands or even bags.

This pattern uses US crochet terms.
Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn (or any of your choice)
Hook size: 5mm(hook size conversion chart)
Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn (or any of your choice)

Stitches used: ss, hdc, dc, tr, ch
Finished size: 3.5 in/9 cm (depends on the hook and yarn)
Abbreviations:
ss - slip stitch
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
tr - treble or tripple st
ch - chain
st - stitch
Pattern:
In magic circle make 10 dc.
1st row of petals:
Now work only in front loop - * [Hdc, dc, dc, hdc] in same st, ss in next st *, repeat * - * 4 times. First row of petals done. Join another color or continue with the same.
2nd row of petals:
Turn the flower to the back and work now in the back loops.
* ch 5, skip one st (this skipped st will be used in the 3rd row of petals), ss in next st *, repeat * - * 4 more times, ss at the start of first ch 5.
Now work in each ch 5 - * sc, hdc, 2 dc, tr, ch, tr, 2dc, hdc, sc, ss in next ch 5,* rep * - * 4 more times for each of the ch 5.

This row is done in the skipped stitches from the previous row. Make another 5 chains - *ch 5, skip one st (you are now skipping the stitch where the ch from previous row starts/ends) *, repeat 4 more times.
In each ch 5 work *sc, hdc, 2dc, 2tr, ch, 2tr, 2dc, hdc, sc *, repeat * - * 4 more times, ss.
4rd row of petals:

For the last row of petals join another color in the middle of the base chain of the petal from the previous row. Ch 7 and join with ss in the middle of the chain of the next petal. Do 4 more ch 7 for total of 5 chains.
In each ch space work * 1sc, 1hdc, 2dc, 3 tr, ch, 3tr, 2dc, 1hdc, 1sc, ss in next ch *, repeat * - * 4 more times, ss. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
This is the flower.
