Cross Coaster









Fast project to use any scrap yarn left you have from other projects - those coasters can be made in single or multiple different colors.

This pattern uses US crochet terms.


Yarn: worsted weight yarn
Hook size: 5mm (hook size conversion chart)
Stitches used: dc, sc, mc
Finished size: 4 in in diameter
Colors used: I used 3 colors - A, B and C


Abbreviations:
mc - magic circle
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
ss - slip stitch
cross stitch - dc, yarn over and make a dc but in the previous stitch

Note: There are 5 rounds - each round ends with ss in the top of the starting chain. You can switch the colors at the start of every row.




Pattern:

Row 1: In mc make 12dc, ss 
Row 2: ch 2, dc in prev st, , *ch2, skip one st, dc in next st, dc in prev st*, rep * - * 5 more times, ss at the end
Row 3: ch 2, dc in the next st, *3 dc in ch2 space, dc in next st, dc*, repeat * - *, end with 3 dc in last ch 2 space, ss
Row 4: ch 2, dc in previous st, * ch 1, skip one st, dc in next st, dc in previous st *, repeat * - *, ss in ch 2
Row 5: last row(sc row) - ch 1, sc in same st, sc, *2 sc in ch1 space, sc , sc*, repeat * - *, ss.
