BraceNet

Another easy to crochet accessory - can be made as bracelet, headband or even as necklace. The gauge is not important for this project although using small hook and fine yarn looks better (for me at least). Just increase/decrease the starting chain as described in the pattern.

This pattern uses US crochet terms.

Yarn: Any, fine yarn looks nicer.
Hook size: C/D or 3mm(hook size conversion chart)
Stitches used: sc, ss, hdc
Finished size: Any size as long as you follow the pattern instructions.

Abbreviations:
sc - single crochet
ss - slip stitch
hdc - half double crochet

Pattern:
Ch 46 for bracelet using hook C or D (for different sizes use any multiples of 4 ch + 2), sc in second st from hook, sc till end (46 st).

Row 1: Ch1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sc in 4th st from hook*, repeat * - *, turn.
Row 2: *Ch 5, sc in next ch 5 space *, repeat * - *, after the sc in the last ch 5 work ch 2, followed by dc in the last st of the row, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sc in next ch 5 space *, repeat * - *, turn.
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: Repeat row 3.
Row 6: Ch 5, sc in next ch5, *ch 3, sc in next ch 5*, end with ch 2, dc in last st, turn.
Row 7: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc till end of the row, turn.

Now turn the work on the narrow side and make a row of sc (I did 12 sc). Turn. Ch2, hdc in same st, hdc till end. Cut the yarn and weave in the end. Sew buttons on this side.

Make the same on the opposite side of the bracelet, only make button holes to fit the buttons.
For the button holes - start the row with ch1, sc in same st, then ch 3 or 4 st (depending on the size of your buttons), skip the same number of st and sc till 4 or 5 st left, then ch again 3 or 4 and sc at the end. Now turn and make another row of sc.

For necklace/headband - chain the desired lenght and go with the pattern - just make sure the starting chain is multiple of 4 + 2.
